This page explains what I collect when you use this website or apply for a discovery call, why I collect it, and how to ask for a copy or deletion. It is written for a small private mentorship practice, not a large platform.

Who I am

This site is operated by the teacher offering Lineage Preservation mentorship. Contact: simply@simplytaichi.com.

What I collect

If you only read the site, I do not collect an application from you. The host (for example Netlify) and any embedded tools may record ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.

If you submit the application form (hosted by Tally), I receive:

• name
• email address
• timezone or city
• training history and current teacher or lineage, if given
• why you are seeking this lineage
• long-term goals
• any other answers you type into the form

If I send a Stripe invoice, Stripe also collects billing name, email, payment details, and payment records. I do not see full card numbers.

If we speak on Zoom, Zoom processes the meeting. I may keep brief private notes about fit and next steps.

Why I collect it

• to read applications and decide whether to offer a discovery call
• to send an invoice and confirm payment
• to schedule and hold the conversation
• to keep a record if a mentorship path is later offered
• to reply to messages and meet basic accounting and legal duties

I do not sell applications or email lists. I do not use the form for bulk marketing.

Where it is stored

• Tally stores form submissions on Tally’s systems
• Stripe stores customer and payment records on Stripe’s systems
• the website host stores the public pages and ordinary server logs
• copies may sit in my email inbox and, if used, a private notes file

Those companies have their own privacy policies. I use them as tools to run this practice, not as a way to build a public student directory.

How long I keep it

Unsuccessful applications are kept only as long as needed to reply and to have a short record of what was decided, then deleted on request or during a periodic tidy-up. Paid invoices and tax records are kept for the period required by law in my country. Mentorship notes for accepted students are kept while the relationship lasts and for a reasonable time afterwards.

Photos and this website

Training photographs on the site are used only with permission of the people shown, or are images I have the right to use. If you appear in a photo and want it taken down, email me.

Your requests

Email me to ask for a copy of the application I hold, to correct it, or to delete it. I will do that unless I must keep a payment or tax record. Deleting an application does not automatically refund a paid discovery call; that is covered in the terms.

Children

This mentorship is for adults. Do not submit an application for a person under 18.

Changes

If this page changes in a material way, I will update the date above.
